Installation

The installation of tiles or 3D panels can be carried out independently, with your own hands, without calling a professional foreman. This work is interesting, uncomplicated, but a little dusty, requiring patience and accuracy. For installation, we will need the following materials: water dispersion wall primer, gypsum-based glue, lacquer and acrylic paint for coloring after laying (optional).

Before laying tiles, clean the walls from wallpaper or paint, align with plaster and coat with water-based primer.

Arrange panels or tiles on the floor, combining by pattern or color, if required. The reverse side of the panels should be primed for better adhesion.

The products are installed on any surface, the main thing is that they are aligned.

Tools and materials needed for work:

1. After you measure the walls and make the necessary calculations, you will need to order the required amount of stone

2. Primer for walls

3. Installation gypsum glue or putty, glue for ceramic tiles, or construction adhesive-sealant.

4. Building

5. Hacksaw with small teeth

6. Brush and grout (if grouting is required).

7. Spray gun (if painting is required).

Installation process:

1. Before starting work, treat the wall with a primer. And let it dry 2. Apply glue or putty to the tile with a toothed spatula 3. Attach the tile to the wall and press it with a light movement. 4. Carefully fill the seams with grout (if grout is required). After 30 minutes after filling the seams, pass them with a wet brush for finishing alignment. 5. After gluing the wall with gypsum tiles, let it dry for a day, then be sure to prime with an acrylic primer.

At your request, you can paint the products with acrylic paint of any color to your taste. We recommend using a deep matte and ultra-abrasion resistant acrylic paint. Coloring it in any colors.

Note: there may be smaller tiles in the box – the so-called “half-length” ones. The area is indicated taking into account the seam of 10 mm. Possible size deviation of up to 5%. The permissible heating temperature is up to +100oC. The service life is 25 years.

Decorative plaster 3D panels for walls immediately became popular as soon as they appeared on the market of finishing materials. They are environmentally friendly, fire resistant and easy to mount on walls. 3D gypsum panels perfectly fit into any interior and help to realize original design ideas. It seems that working with such panels is extremely difficult and requires a lot of experience. But the advantage of this decorative material is that everyone can install 3D panels with their own hands. Plaster 3D panels are installed on any surface, the main thing is that they are aligned.

Tools and materials needed for work:

1. After you measure the walls and make the necessary calculations, you will need to order the required number of panels 2. Primer for walls 3. Mounting plaster glue or putty 4. Hydro level, construction level 5. Sandpaper 6. Hacksaw with small teeth 7. Rubber spatula 8. Paint 9. Spray gun or roller, brush.

Stages of installation of 3D gypsum panels on walls

First of all, we need to prepare the walls. They must be cleaned of dust, dirt, paint and remaining finishing materials. After that, we proceed to install the panels. It is more convenient to start work from the lower right or left corners of the walls. 1. When the walls are ready, we apply a deep penetration primer in two layers on them. The back surface of the plates is also primed.

2. While the primer dries, we make a marking using a hydro level or a laser level. If the amount of work is small, the usual construction level is also suitable.

3. Install the guide profile on which the first row will be held. Before you start installing the panels, they need to be laid out on the floor, combine the pattern and get an idea of how they will be located on the wall.

4. Next, with a combed spatula, we apply the adhesive mixture to the surface of the panel and apply it to the wall along the marking line. It should be remembered that gypsum mixtures dry out very quickly, so we prepare a little solution and work quickly.

5. We put the next panel next to the first one combining the pattern. When you need to cut off part of the panel in the process of work, do it with a hacksaw on wood with a small tooth. The cut places should be sanded with sandpaper. The holes for the sockets are cut out first with a round crown, then a milling cutter is selected for the size of the lining on the socket, so you can slightly sink the switch into the level with the relief. 3d panels usually have a certain tolerance and may have minor deviations from the declared dimensions. All possible inconsistencies in the relief are eliminated with putty and sandpaper.

We also recommend leaving a small gap between the panels, into which the putty for movable seams will be applied. This will help prevent the appearance of cracks during shrinkage of the house or temperature and humidity changes.

6. We hammer the seams between the panels with putty. We are waiting for the putty to dry. After shrinkage, apply the putty a second time.

7. Rub the seams with sandpaper.

8. Priming the surface of our panels with a roller or spray gun.

9. And finally painting.

For this, water-soluble acrylic or latex paints of any color are best suited. We apply the paint with a roller or spray gun. We apply the paint in two or three layers. For an additional effect, you can apply varnish over the paint. The varnish can be matte and glossy. In addition to aesthetic properties, the varnish also carries protective functions.

Each panel weighs differently depending on size and terrain.

The average panel weight is 4 kg.

There is nothing difficult about caring for 3D panels, you just wipe them with a damp cloth periodically during cleaning.

A decorative brick with a seam means that the necessary seam already exists in this form of tile. This greatly simplifies its instalation.

Sure, you can! Panels from Nordic Wall are made of natural eco- friendly materials without adding any kinds of harmful substances.

3D panels, like decorative bricks, can be painted with any decorative and water emulsion paints.

The amount of brick in 1 square meter depends on its type.

The service life of 3d panels is more than 50 years.
